Behavioral science, product design, business strategy. My career has lived where those three collide. Very little of it was ever really about interfaces. The job is getting the right people in the room, building a shared language, and leaving behind systems that let teams move fast without dropping quality.
I started as a front-end engineer and web designer. Yes, I actually shipped code. Then 15+ years as an IC across product design and UX research, which means I know the real cost of every decision I hand to engineering. Great mentors along the way, and a few businesses of my own, including Relish.
Away from the screen, I teach. As a gay, Liberian-American in tech, I pay it forward by mentoring women and underrepresented folks in the industry. I sit on the boards of We Create Space and Masia Can Brull, also founded The Common Thread Club supper club here in Barcelona. I've also travelled to 70+ countries 🌍. The best product insight comes from living in the world, not studying it from a desk.
